Welcome to the Kendallville Area Chamber of Commerce web site! This is your opportunity to visit us via the Internet. From here you will want to visit us in person! Whether you come for a visit or decide to relocate, we think you will find this to be a lovely place! Your Kendallville Chamber is located at 122 S. Main St. with available parking in front or at the back of the office for scheduled meetings – otherwise the back door is locked for security purposes. We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Our Chamber Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30 at the Chamber office. The Board of Directors sets the policy and helps in decision-making to maintain a consistent direction for our city and its businesses. We also plan monthly membership activities to encourage networking and community development.
A monthly newsletter is published with all types of information for our members and interested associates – these are then sent by mail to approximately 500 businesses in the area. Ads are available to be purchased from business-card size to full page – please contact Anita Shepherd for details.
As a benefit, we also allow a member to decorate our front window for a period of one month to promote their business.
Our Chamber has a number of ongoing projects and programs. Our Annual Banquet includes the announcements of "Citizen of the Year", “Business of the Year”, "Industry of the Year" and "Student Volunteer of the Year". Additionally, our Annual Chamber Golf Outing, Legislative Forums, the annual Holiday Parade and Christmas Bureau are just some of the ways our members and volunteers are involved throughout the year. Starting January 2008 we conduct a Breakfast Club – Speed Networking at its Best – the third Thursday of the month alternating with the Business Enrichment Luncheon held the third Wednesday of the month. The Chamber Gift Certificate Program provides an extra incentive for supporting our Member Merchants.
